Tresna is well known in Western Australia as the Director and founding member of the chamber music ensemble Tres Classique. She has an active career as a flute and piccolo player in many of Australia’s symphony orchestras and top pop orchestras. 2023/24 performances included concerts with both the West Australian and Perth Symphony Orchestras.

Tresna’s musical theatre experience is comprehensive—she has played Principal Flute in national touring productions of Miss Saigon, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, and was the Principal Flautist for the Touring Australian Production of Disney’s The Lion King where she performed on the pan pipes and traditional Asian & Irish flutes.

Tresna has toured and recorded chamber music for Music Viva Australia and her additional discography includes ‘Paradiso’, featuring arrangements by Perth composer and arranger James Charles. With a string of qualifications to her name, which include a Bachelor of Performance and a Bachelor of Arts, Tresna has studied in London and France, and presented concerts in both Italy and France.

Tresna is sessional lecturer in flute studies at WAAPA and is involved in flute teaching at all levels. She examines for the Australian Music Examinations Board and has adjudicated for the Fremantle Eisteddfod, South Suburban Music Society Eisteddfod, Kwinana Eisteddfod, and ATAR assessments.

A champion of the flute’s role in indigenous music, Tresna’s recent collaborations have included performing on the Bansuri flute in ‘Butterfly Lovers’ with renowned Er Hu Master Eddie Li, as the bamboo flute soloist for a performance with didgeridoo and strings for the Japanese Consulate, and recording on classical flute, pan pipes and Asian flutes for the Matagarup Bridge project which involved Noongar Elders sharing their stories of Derbal Yerrigan.
